14+ Girls group, by Sana Waraich

Today we were brushing up on our names which are written in Arabic. I did a sunset background to make my name different to the rest, and painted the middle maroon. I sprayed gold paint to add a little effect.
To start off, our group talk about inspiring women who had an impact in Islam. Today was my turn, and I chose to talk about Rabi'a Al-Adawiyya. I chose her because she was a woman who secluded herself from the rest of the world to devote herself to Allah. She never married or had children as she did not want her attention to be distracted from Allah.
There is a short story of her, where she held a pitcher of water and a torch. When asked to explain the significance of this, she said "I will symbolically set Paradise on fire, and pour water into Hell so people will not worship Allah for hope of Paradise or fear of Hell, but solely for Allah's true beauty."
