At Taqwa Children & Youth

Day Three age group 9-11 years




















Today we made 'Ramadaan Mubarak' cards for our Masjid At-Taqwa neighbours. The children used stencils to create beautiful flower vases or sailing boats with the help of our special guest, Mrs Shakir, Headteacher of Leicester Islamic Academy (LIA).

We also had a Ramadan quiz competition. The Spaghetti quiz. Children were split into three groups . For each correctly answered question children choose a piece of string hanging over a saucepans edge (each piece of string is cut into different sizes and dangling over the saucepans edge so that you cannot tell the sizes)
At the end of the competition the teams lined up their pieces of string- the group with the longest- Team C won; each went home with a box of mixed jelly sweets to eat at iftaar time-of course!
